This week I watched Werner Herzog's "Cave of Forgotten Dreams", a 3D documentary that was shot inside the Chauvet caves of Southern France, "capturing the oldest known pictorial creations of humankind in their astonishing natural setting" (IMDB). I was deeply moved by the the paintings as well as by the film itself.
This might seem a little off-topic for this blog, but I am actually proud to be part of this long tradition of depicting animals!

I also found these videos of children's stories told in a Werner Herzog style, here, here, here and here. I was bit disappointed when I realized these are only imitations. If I could choose anyone in the world to read me a bedtime story, my first choice would definitely be Herzog!
