Penguins

Special winter edition lazy friends! They were originally made as a custom order for a wedding photography studio, surprisingly named "Penguin Studio", but will also soon be available in a mobile or a shadow box at the shop.

Wishing a happy, warm and cozy holiday to all Lazy Animals friends and followers!

Calder Circus

Do you know Alexander Calder's circus? You should! It's time consuming to watch, but make sure you make some time to watch it, it is mind blowing!

Cats and Squirrels

Here are the cats I've been working on. Sometimes the most banal animals are the hardest to make. It's much more challenging to make them special. I hope these are special enough. Available in a shadow box or a mobile.

Bellow is a photo set I made for a wedding invitation. Happy automne!

A Gift and a Resolution

I've been meaning to share this ever since I got it, for myself, as a birthday present last May. It's a hand crocheted pot holder, made by Belgian textile artist Renilde Depeuter. Here are a few more of her beautiful works (Oh how I wish it was winter and I could sit on one of these cushions, or simply gaze at it for hours). Renilde's blog, At Swim-Two-Birds, is definitely one I love to return to again and again to absorb inspiration and beauty.

And my new resolution is to try to post here weekly. I'm sharing this with you because I think  keeping my word might be a good incentive. See you next week then!

First Felting workshop

Yesterday was my first needle felting workshop. I had the best students - so creative, talented and patient! I loved it. Look at what they made, first time felting ever! The next workshop will be in two weeks, I hope to have as much fun as I had in this one.

More news coming up, but I'm a bit slow with blogging. Planning a giveaway at 9instyle on-line magazine in a couple of weeks, and I'm gradually updating the shop with my new collection. New prints will also be available at the shop soon.

Have a great weekend!

More New Friends

Introducing unicorns, sloths and otters.

There's a lot going on and I hope to have some more updates soon. I'm working on photos of my newest lazy friends, some of which have been posted here before, but I have not listed them in the shop yet, and a new website that will hopefully be launched in a few weeks.

I'm also planning a giveaway to celebrate the new website, but I have not decided what I'm going to give away. So, this is a good opportunity to let me know what's on your wish list!

Oh, and please join Lazy Animals on Instagram!

All the Leaves are Falling

The tree outside my studio window has been trimmed this week, and so much more sunlight is now coming through! I think the new light is very flattering for the Lazy Animals, don't you think?  Anyway it's a good opportunity to introduce my latest - the sloth. He comes with hugging arms. Who's in for a hug?

Couldn't resist this last photo of the laziest and most beautiful of all.
