Birthday Presents

I made these for my son's 5th birthday. Don't feel bad for him, he also got a remote control race car, from plastic, not wool! Oh, and a new baby sister, too!

Finger Puppet Workshop and New Tigers

Here's a little update of what I've been up to lately. 

I've been working on a new finger puppet workshop, trying to figure out a way to make a complete finger puppet set in one session of 3-4 hours. Here's what I came up with:

Penguins

Special winter edition lazy friends! They were originally made as a custom order for a wedding photography studio, surprisingly named "Penguin Studio", but will also soon be available in a mobile or a shadow box at the shop.

Cats and Squirrels

Here are the cats I've been working on. Sometimes the most banal animals are the hardest to make. It's much more challenging to make them special. I hope these are special enough. Available in a shadow box or a mobile.

First Felting workshop

Yesterday was my first needle felting workshop. I had the best students - so creative, talented and patient! I loved it. Look at what they made, first time felting ever! The next workshop will be in two weeks, I hope to have as much fun as I had in this one.

More news coming up, but I'm a bit slow with blogging. Planning a giveaway at 9instyle on-line magazine in a couple of weeks, and I'm gradually updating the shop with my new collection. New prints will also be available at the shop soon.

Three New Friends

Some pics for those of you who are not following my facebook page yet. These guys are available now here, here, and here, and will soon be available in couples and sets along with a shadow box home, or a hanging mobile. 

I am working on a few more friends - a unicorn, an otter, and finally a sloth - the original 'lazy animal'. Hopefully some of these will also be featured here soon! Any other suggestions for new animals from my darling blog readers will be warmly considered!

Anteaters

New Friend

I Never thought of making a puppy before. Somehow it seemed too cute, too obvious, until I was asked to make one for a customized Christmas ornament. When he was complete I looked in his eyes and knew he had to be adopted by the Lazy Animals family! He is available now at my shop. Wouldn't you adopt one?

3rd Birthday

We're celebrating our boy's 3rd birthday tomorrow, so I'm thinking he is probably big enough to have his own set of Lazy Animals. Whenever he sees me knitting or packing them, he always wants to know if I am making them for him. So this time I am. I made a little shelf for them, which I plan to hang by his bed. I hope they will be good friends for him, and also keep scary wolves and elephants away from his bed at night.

Gifts

I like to make color experiments when I'm making a gift for a special occasion or a special person. The couple in blue in the box above is a wedding gift for Asaf & Dafna, I wish you both a bright and happy marriage! The couple in green below is for sweet Noa's first birthday. The tree outside my window seems to enjoy the summer. I find it very hard to understand, but I'm happy for him non the less.
